New Delhi, July 20: Delhi Police on Sunday clarified that no permission has been granted for any protest march or procession in the New Delhi district ahead of the Monsoon Session of Parliament. The clarification came amid reports of planned demonstrations in the national capital.<\/p>\n
In an official advisory, Delhi Police stated that no organisation or group has been authorised to hold a march towards Parliament or other restricted areas. The advisory warned that participation in any unauthorised protest or gathering could attract legal action under the relevant provisions of law.<\/p>\n
Security has been significantly tightened across the national capital, particularly around Parliament House and other high-security zones. Additional police personnel have been deployed, while barricades, surveillance systems, and strict access control measures have been put in place to ensure law and order during the Parliament session.<\/p>\n
The police urged citizens to co-operate with security arrangements and avoid participating in any unauthorised gatherings. Officials said the enhanced security measures are aimed at ensuring the smooth functioning of Parliament and maintaining public safety.<\/p>\n
Authorities also appealed to organisers of public demonstrations to follow legal procedures and obtain the necessary permissions before planning any protest in the city.<\/p>\n
